Location & environment Bloubergstrand

Bloubergstrand liegt etwa 10 Kilometer nördlich von Kapstadt und bietet einen spektakulären Blick auf den Tafelberg. It is an ideal starting point to discover the Cape region. In less than an hour’s drive you can reach all the attractions: The Cape of Good Hope, the penguins in Simonstown, Table Mountain, Cape Town, the Winelands and the Cedar Mountains.

Even if you make a day trip, you still have enough time to relax on the beach or in the garden in the afternoon.

Special features in the vicinity

Bloubergstrand has a long, white sandy beach and an amazing view of Table Mountain. The nature and national monument „Robben Island“ is also located directly off the coast. The former prison there (where Nelson Mandela was also imprisoned) was converted into a museum in the mid-1990s.

If you want to do water sports, just walk on the beach or relax, this is the place for you. The place is especially popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers. Likewise, there are several golf courses in the area that invite you to spend a few sporting hours with great scenery.

Also good restaurants, various supermarkets and some bars are easily accessible from the house by bike or car. For wine lovers, there is even a small trip inland: Here are several wineries, which offer a dreamlike view over the extraordinary landscape while enjoying a glass of wine and delicious dishes.

Of course, a visit to Cape Town City is also worthwhile. Particularly popular here are the Bo-Kaap district with the brightly colored houses of the residents, the Waterfront, Long Street and, of course, Table Mountain.
